We are constantly generating products to advance human life, and unfortunately, most of these products end up as waste that is polluting our environment. We also rely on fossil fuels to drive our daily lives and development. The consequence of the fossil fuels has been the generation of a large quantity of carbon dioxide waste, which has been deposited into the atmosphere. This deposition is the primary cause of global warming, which is continuously deteriorating our environment through droughts that limit our farming capacity, floods and acid rain that destroy our infrastructure. We have also rendered a portion of our land infertile and therefore reduced the surface area of farmable land, through the large amounts of waste that we are burying underground. In this study I am discussing what is waste, different ways in which our waste pollutes our environment, methods of regulating waste, and more specifically how to convert some forms of waste into active electrodes of a lithium-ion battery.

摘要
