DOA System Based on an Eight-Channel Circular Array and Wi-Fi
摘要
Integrating communication with capabilities such as positioning and direction finding has become a significant research focus. This paper introduces a method for estimating the Direction of Arrival (DOA) of Wi-Fi signals during communication, utilizing an eight-channel circular array that operates with only two receiving channels. Channel State Information (CSI) and sampling data are obtained through the openwifi platform, and an enhanced Capon algorithm is implemented. Furthermore, a Radio Frequency (RF) switch is employed for channel switching, a technique akin to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology, which facilitates the synthesis of signals necessary for DOA estimation. This approach also leverages synthesized channels to calculate the direct signal path among multiple peaks, thereby addressing multipath issues. The experimental outcomes confirm the effectiveness of this method for angle estimation in indoor settings, highlighting its practical utility.
