In this work, we present a metasurface based on split-ring resonators (SRR) aimed at achieving broadband and high-efficiency linear to-linear polarization conversion at the terahertz range. The conversion coefficient of the polarization converter is above 99.9% from 0.1 to 2.4THz. Three plasmonic resonances occur in the polarization conversion curves and the conversion coefficient of the metasurface exhibits an insensitivity ability to the incident angle. Our findings indicate that the resonators might be widely used in terahertz communications, radar, and information processing.

摘要

In this work, we present a metasurface based on split-ring resonators (SRR) aimed at achieving broadband and high-efficiency linear to-linear polarization conversion at the terahertz range. The conversion coefficient of the polarization converter is above 99.9% from 0.1 to 2.4THz. Three plasmonic resonances occur in the polarization conversion curves and the conversion coefficient of the metasurface exhibits an insensitivity ability to the incident angle. Our findings indicate that the resonators might be widely used in terahertz communications, radar, and information processing.
