The Aastha CLF was established in 2017 in the Rajnandgaon district in Chhattisgarh. One of the attributes of the federation remained its consistency in successfully maintaining proper record keeping, ensuring repayment efficiency, low idle funds, and regular audits. The irregularity in leadership rotation remains one of the challenges for ACLF. The access to financial services, regular training, and guidance have diversified the farm and non-farm livelihood options. The federation ventured into seed supply to increase members’ agricultural income and nutritional status. The effort gradually became a significant income source for the federation. Social action initiatives are exemplary, especially the trained women commandos and youth clubs in every village. The seeds of change sown by the ACLF are transforming the lives and have enhanced the collective capacities of its 4582 members.
