Minimal Access Techniques of Lobectomy for Lung Cancer: An Overview
摘要
The world of minimally invasive surgery is rapidly evolving, and thoracic surgery is witnessing the same. Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) has grown from its humble beginnings as a mere diagnostic modality to performing complex procedures, with short- and long-term outcomes comparable to the conventional open approach. This chapter aims at briefly outlining the developments in the field of minimal access techniques with respect to lobectomy in lung cancer regarding instruments technology, salient technique, outcome and future directions.
