Laparoscopic Management of Liver Hydatid Cyst
摘要
Hydatid cyst of the liver is being increasingly managed using laparoscopic surgery. The extent of intervention can vary from percutaneous aspiration and scolicidal injection to more radical liver resections. Availability of advanced imaging systems can aid not only in the diagnosis but also in guiding the extent of resection. This chapter is a brief overview of epidemiology, pathogenesis, and management options for liver hydatid disease and also briefly describes the recent advances on the use of ICG (indocyanine green) as an ancillary tool in surgical treatment.
