The All Hazards Approach (AHA) offers a paradigm shift in disaster management. It presents an alternative way of managing disasters, moving away from siloed planning for specific threats. And it prioritizes building comprehensive capabilities to address various emergencies. This chapter explores the concepts of systemic, transboundary risk and the trajectory of early warning systems. It discusses different aspects of AHA risk assessment, AHA risk perception, and AHA risk mitigation. Incorporating these key elements presents a conceptual framework of the All hazard approach, which is critical for preparedness for a full spectrum of hazards. Understanding and implementing this approach is of utmost importance in the present world, where the frequency and intensity of disasters are increasing.
