This chapter introduces the background, contextual factors, and the development of digital transformation and innovation in Chinese higher education as well as the massification and world-class aspirations of Chinese higher education advocated by the world-class university policies of the Chinese government and educational reforms and innovation for educational modernization and sustainable development.
