Challenges in Voltammetry for Biosensing
摘要
The tremendous advances in electrochemical sensing are very useful in environmental, agricultural, clinical, and industrial sectors. In the clinical sector, it helps in the detection of different analytes in the body fluid, which helps in the early detection of any disease. Out of the different detection methods, the electrochemical method has several advantages such as low cost and real-time analysis. Depending on the mode of detection of the output, various types of electrochemical sensors exist. Out of them, voltammetry is the technique in which the small change in analyte concentration can be measured in terms of an electrical signal. Although voltammetry is a useful technique in biosensing, a few of the factors make its application limited. This chapter briefly discusses the challenges in the use of voltammetry for biosensing.
