This study aims to investigate the relationship between green innovation and sustainability performance in the hotel industry, considering the role of managerial environmental concern as a moderating variable. We examine the extent to which green innovation influences sustainability performance, including social, environmental, and economic performance, and whether managerial environmental concern strengthens this relationship. The study employs a variance-based Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach to test hypotheses and generate a viable model. We explore the impact of green innovation on the economic, environmental, and social performance of starred hotels in Bali, as well as the moderating role of managerial environmental concern. The main findings indicate that green innovation has a positive and significant impact on the economic, environmental, and social performance of hotels, with managerial environmental concern enhancing its effects. The implications of this research are significant for the tourism and hotel industry in Indonesia, demonstrating the importance of investing in green innovation for sustainable economic growth. However, the study has limitations, including the need to further explore factors affecting the consistency of green innovation implementation and challenges in linking green innovation to social hotel performance. Likewise, it is essential to consider external factors in moderating the role of managerial environmental concern.
