Exploring Tourists’ Perceptions and Utilization Patterns of Mass Public Transportation in Bali, Indonesia

This research study aims to examine the awareness and usage patterns of tourists toward mass public transportation in Bali, Indonesia. With the growing popularity of Bali as a tourist destination, the efficient and sustainable transportation of visitors has become a crucial concern for tourists to determine Bali as the destination to be visited. The study focuses on understanding tourists’ perceptions of mass public transportation and their willingness to utilize such systems during their stay in Bali. The research questions guiding this study include: (1) what is the level of awareness among tourists regarding mass public transportation options in Bali? (2) what are the indicators affecting tourists’ decisions to use or not use mass public 1 transportation? (3) what are the key challenges and opportunities associated with the implementation of mass public transportation in Bali from a tourist perspective? To address these questions, a quantitative approach will be employed. Surveys will be conducted among tourists visiting Bali to gather quantitative data on their awareness, perceptions, and utilization patterns of mass public transportation. The key findings of this research are expected to shed light on the current state of tourist awareness and behavior toward mass public transportation in Bali. The results will provide valuable information for policymakers and tourism stakeholders in developing strategies to enhance the accessibility, convenience, and attractiveness of public transportation options, ultimately contributing to sustainable tourism development in Bali.
