Autism and Cousins: Living Life Well
摘要
Throughout this book, we have explored various aspects of what it means to be Autistic. Monotropism has been defined and explained as ‘autism’s dominant foundational cognitive style’ along with its impacts on various intersections, such as OP, interoception, and our external sensory sensing system. Of course, being monotropic impacts all of who we are so must be the lens through which we view all of the experiences life takes us through. For example, we might have been told our thinking is black and white, that we are literal and not great at reading the ‘hidden curriculum’.
