This chapter examines the evolution of urban intelligent structures and their relationship with technological advances. Urban development has progressed through four distinct stages: primitive civilization, agricultural civilization, industrial civilization, and ecological civilization. The characteristics of cities in each stage reflect the societal needs and technological capabilities of that era. Notably, during the ecological civilization phase, cities have gradually developed the capacity to sense, respond, and make judgments, ultimately evolving into smart cities capable of learning and self-improvement. This chapter also analyzes the pivotal technological milestones in urban development, from mechanization to AI, each of which has significantly transformed the form and function of cities. Particularly, AI technologies, including big data and cloud computing applications, have elevated urban intelligence and facilitated the transition from automation to intelligence. Future cities will possess advanced perception, analysis, and decision-making capabilities, enabling them to achieve a higher quality of life and sustainable development through continuous self-optimization. This transformation will profoundly impact urban planning, industrial distribution, and residents’ lifestyles.

摘要
