Elastomers and Rubbers
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of elastomers and rubbers, with a particular focus on their distinctive mechanical properties. It delves into the fundamental principles of thermodynamics and molecular interpretation of rubber elasticity, which arises from entropic factors. Additionally, this chapter covers filler-reinforced elastomers that are commonly used in rubber products, discussing the reinforcement effects of filling and the resulting nonlinear mechanical properties.
