The basic guidelines of polymer organic light-emitting diode (polymer OLED) for higher efficiency and longer lifetime based on the conjugated polymer technology, and the latest progress and status, are discussed. The materials used for the diodes are highly suitable for printing OLED panel fabrication, especially for mid- to large-size displays. The comparison of the performance between ink-jet printed (IJP) and spin-coating (spin) devices and its theoretical fundamentals to secure high performance in IJ printing are discussed. Finally, the expectation for polymer OLEDs panel production from a viewpoint of its process, resolution and panel size, and performance as well as the comparison with WOLED and other OLEDs are discussed.

摘要
