The shipboard processing system is unable to provide high timeliness Sea surface wind field information for polar voyage, if traditional file-driven and data transmission method is used. This paper proposes a streaming processing platform and architecture that can be used for shipboard processing system, which constructs sea surface wind field product generation as independent plugins. The satellite data are interacted and transferred between plug-ins in the form of data flow. This method can effectively improve the data transmission efficiency and reduce the data processing delay. With this method, rapid processing of Sea surface wind field products can be carried out while satellite data being received. After experimentation, the method is able to shorten the processing time for L2 products of sea surface wind fields for Arctic regional data, which is from the traditional 180 min to within 30 min.
