In order to improve the reliability of FOCT in extreme environments, this paper analyzes the reliability of FOCT in long-term operation by combining Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). The failure mode impact and hazard analysis of FOCT is divided into three parts: reliability block diagram analysis, FMEA tabular analysis and CA hazard analysis. By summarizing the factors affecting the reliability of FOCT, analyzing the failure modes, fault characteristics and corresponding solutions of each factor, and finally classifying each failure mode according to its severity, occurrence probability and inspection difficulty, the impact of each possible fault can be comprehensively evaluated. Eventually, the causes of the top-level events will be decomposed down step by step until they are decomposed to the lowest causes, and the fault tree of FOCT is obtained.
