In this chapter, we briefly introduce the types and formats of geospatial data used in QGIS. We discuss the raster format for satellite images, landcover, the elevation model in GeoTIFF and ERDAS Imagine formats, and the vector formats for GeoPackage and ESRI shape files. Combinations of points, lines, and polygons to create new GIS data models like TIN (triangulated irregular network) and road network data models were also discussed. Text-based geospatial data are also discussed in this chapter.

摘要

In this chapter, we briefly introduce the types and formats of geospatial data used in QGIS. We discuss the raster format for satellite images, landcover, the elevation model in GeoTIFF and ERDAS Imagine formats, and the vector formats for GeoPackage and ESRI shape files. Combinations of points, lines, and polygons to create new GIS data models like TIN (triangulated irregular network) and road network data models were also discussed. Text-based geospatial data are also discussed in this chapter.
