The detrimental effects of climate change on soil qualities in the agriculture industry have gained global recognition in recent years. Our agriculture is impacted by global climate change, and these effects seem to be becoming worse every day. Global temperatures are continuously rising, which is altering precipitation patterns and our monsoon season. Agribusiness infrastructure, farm livelihoods, and agricultural productivity are all impacted by these factors, which put rural communities at risk for food instability and malnutrition. Agriculture productivity in food-insecure areas is challenged by climate change, especially in Asian nations. Numerous climate-related extremes, excessive fertilizer use, heat waves, droughts, erratic and severe rainfall patterns, storms, and floods have all had a detrimental effect on farmer’s livelihoods. Climate change-related abiotic stresses as salt, drought, and temperature fluctuations are seriously affecting the physiological responses, productivity, and overall yield of crops. Agroforestry and the security of food worldwide are seriously threatened by this. Climate change is accelerated and environmental degradation is hastened by the usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Thus, more cautious, environmentally friendly, and long-lasting approaches are needed to lessen the harm that climate change is causing to the agriculture industry. Climate-resilient crops, drought resistant crops, and inter-cropping are a few examples of adaptation strategies used by farmers. Drought conditions can be caused by unusual, infrequent, or changing patterns of rainfall, which will parch farmlands and result in crop failures. This chapter reviews the recently reported detrimental effects of climate change on various crops, along with emerging mitigation strategies such as inter-cropping, regenerative agriculture, and regulating fertilizer use. The primary objective of this research has been on combating the worsening impact of the deteriorating environment and climate change on crops’ physiological responses, yields, soil properties, and environment. Here, we emphasized how soil qualities and agriculture are affected by climate change, the newly developed mitigating measures to safeguard the environment, agriculture, and soil and enhance agriculture production.
