This chapter focuses on bifurcated pipes of hydropower station. Firstly, the functions as well as characteristics and requirements of bifurcated pipes are introduced. Meanwhile, the layout arrangement and structure modes are elaborated. Then, loads and structural design requirements of bifurcated pipes are presented. Furtherly, the design contents of them are introduced. For different types of bifurcated pipes, layout forms are introduced and stress analysis is carried out, respectively, including three-girders reinforced bifurcated pipes, crescent-rib reinforced bifurcated pipes, hem reinforced bifurcated pipes, spherical bifurcated pipes, and shell type bifurcated pipes.
