Construction sector is major contributor to economic growth and productive livelihood. According to the pollution control board, PM10 and PM2.5 are the main pollutants from construction sites and are responsible for the air pollution in developing nations. In order to update the real-time data from PM studies and pertinent papers, this study uses a scientific literature review methodology. The work signifies contemporary monitoring approach for air quality monitoring from construction sites, its utilization, working principle of equipment, equipment cost, etc. During the construction process, air-monitoring sensors with improved saturation point and sensitivity are utilized to measure PM. The low-cost sensor possesses major benefits than conventional monitoring equipment, and it found to be effective for utilization in developing country like India. Additionally, the research will support strategies to reduce particulate matter emission from the construction industry by changing the way that monitoring approaches are used to measure particulate matter. The updated building regulations can solve the problems caused by PM emissions and result in a green and sustainable construction method.
