Performance Estimation of BLDC Motor with Z-Source and Quasi Z-Source Inverter
摘要
This paper presents a comprehensive performance evaluation of Brushless DC (BLDC) motors utilizing Z-Source and Quasi Z-Source inverters. BLDC motors have gained significant attention due to their high efficiency and reliability in various industrial applications. In recent years, Z-Source and Quasi Z-Source inverters have emerged as promising alternatives to conventional inverters, offering improved performance and enhanced flexibility in power conversion systems. The study begins with an overview of BLDC motor drives and the principles of Z-Source and Quasi Z-Source inverters. Subsequently, a comparative analysis is conducted to evaluate the performance of BLDC motors when coupled with these two inverter topologies. Parameters such as electromagnetic torque, back EMF, rotor speed, and stator current are investigated under different operating conditions and load scenarios, using the advanced simulation capabilities of MATLAB/ Simulink.
