This chapter introduces support and assessment methods for children who stutter in Japan. It explains how stuttering has been managed in Japan, mainly in educational settings, and discusses the benefits and negative aspects of doing so. In addition, important research studies and review articles written by Japanese researchers have been cited to discuss recent issues in stuttering assessment and support. Finally, I discuss the future challenges faced by Japan.
