This study explores the transformative effects of biochar and hydrochar amendments on the germination rate of Khon Kaen 3 sugarcane bud seeds under harsh conditions of unsustainable soils in sugarcane cultivation. Biochar and hydrochar, derived from bagasse carbonization and hydrothermal carbonization, were applied to unsuitable soils at the mixing rate of 4%, resulting in notable improvements in physical growth and percent brix. Preliminary findings reveal a significant enhancement in the germination rate of Khon Kaen 3 sugarcane bud seeds. Results also showed that the application of biochar and hydrochar can improve soil moisture retention, which directly contributes to higher germination rates and overall plant growth. This research underscores the promising role of biochar and hydrochar in fostering soil resilience and promoting crop establishment in challenging environments.

摘要
