Chapter 6 is about the mystery of the Chinese path. As for China’s rapid development so far, no convincing argument has been presented so far. There is also dispute about the Chinese path and the China model. Our discussion about Chinese path should reveal its uniqueness. This chapter starts with an overview of the status quo of international studies on Chinese path and China model, and then discusses the process of socialist exploration and construction after the founding of the People’s Republic of China from the perspective of the long cycle and capital accumulation; then it focuses on the uniqueness of China’s reality including the demographic and national conditions, seeks feasible plans to break the constraints against China’s development, and maps out three major strategies to rejuvenate the country; and, finally, it expounds the fulfillment of China’s modernization and the completion of the primary stage of socialist development, including the three historical turning points of China’s society since the founding of the Communist Party of China, the characteristics of the new stage of Chinese economic development, the major characteristics of the Chinese path to modernization, and its significance to the world.
