Large civil aircraft have the capability to operate various typical RNP flight procedures. The Flight Management System is able to automatically execute key systems of the flight procedure once set by the flight crew. Conducting functional tests of the Flight Management System for executing typical RNP procedures is a critical step in the airworthiness certification of large commercial aircraft. This paper first introduces the types and characteristics of typical RNP procedures, and then describes the composition of the Flight Management System test platform and the testing experimental methods based on the functional definition and architecture of the Flight Management System.
