To estimate the detonation position of the warhead, a detonation position estimation method based on the genetic algorithm is proposed. First, the flight status of the warhead before detonation was analyzed. Then the impact of detonation on the speed and scattering characteristics of the fragments and the trajectory equation of the fragments in the air are presented. The optimal objective function for detonation position estimation is generated. With the fragment position on the effect plate, the detonation position is estimated based on genetic algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
