With the profound change of war form, battlefield situation cognition plays a vital role in modern war. As a new technology, generative large model has powerful data generation and processing ability, which provides a new solution for battlefield situation cognition. This paper first analyzes the challenges faced by traditional situation cognition technologies, and then introduces the definition and architecture of generative large model in the field of battlefield situation cognition, including its advantages in knowledge extraction and knowledge representation, multi-modal information fusion, cognitive reasoning and prediction. On this basis, this paper analyzes the development direction of battlefield situation cognition technology based on generative large model, aiming to provide support for improving the effectiveness of battlefield situation cognition.
