This paper studies the optimal control problem of spacecraft formation flying (SFF) system without neighbor’s position measurements. An optimized backstepping control strategy based on actor-critic reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm is proposed for the SFF system with disturbances by virtue of the relative bearing measurements between spacecraft. Stability analysis proves that spacecraft formation flying control can be achieved by the proposed strategy. The superiority of the proposed strategy was verified through numerical simulation.
