Precise trajectory control for approach and landing is one of the difficult and key technologies in carrier-based aircraft design. Firstly, the basic methods and procedures of manual approach and landing of carrier-based aircraft are discussed, and its necessity and intuitive beneficial effects are pointed out. Secondly, the development of carrier-based aircraft approach and landing guidance technology is summarized. Finally, aiming at the magic carpet landing technology, the basic situation and application of the head-up display technology are analyzed. The research work has certain engineering guiding value for the accurate trajectory landing control design of carrier-based aircraft.
