A Multi-field Coupling Model for Rotary Lip Seal with Textured Shaft
摘要
Rotary lip seals are widely applied to various mechanical systems. Although some studies have focused on their lubrication and sealing properties, the comprehensive consideration of fluid-solid-thermal multi-field coupling is still insufficient. This paper aims to establish a rotating lip seal model considering multi-field coupling, the key parameters of the groove pair are dissected, and the influence of grooves size and depth on pump performance parameters such as drain rate were analyzed, and provide theoretical support for optimizing seal design. Numerical simulation method was used to establish a multi-field coupling model including flow, solid and heat, and analyze the sealing performance under different texture sizes, which it provides a new idea for upgrading and improving the traditional sealing structure.
