Social media has completely changed how we interact with the outside world, communicate, and share information in the digital age. It has become an essential part of our everyday lives. The purpose of this essay is to evaluate social media's effects on college student's academic performance as well as its larger consequences for higher education. To accurately describe the situation, the study employs a descriptive research approach and involves 60 students studying business administration and management information systems who are regular users of social media. According to the research, social media has ingrained itself into student’s lives and taken up a large amount of their leisure time. The abstract examines the complex relationship between public opinion dynamics and social media platforms in an era where digital speech is prevalent. By offering new insights into the intricate relationship between online conversation and societal opinions, this study hopes to advance our knowledge of the dynamics of public opinion in the modern era.
