Impact of Private Equity Ownership on Firm Performance: An Operational, Financial, and Strategic Analysis
摘要
The definitive performance of private equity ownership also receives attention in the literature, yet the way in which that performance is defined varies according to whether financial, operational, and/or strategic aspects are combined into firm performance. Drawing on an extensive dataset and in-depth case studies, the study looks at private equity ownership impact on metrics of profitability, efficiency, innovation, and growth. This study tries to bridge these gaps by offering a comprehensive examination of the consequences of PE ownership and using advanced prediction algorithms to project business performance after acquisition. Research shows that however firm performance often notably improves with private equity ownership but varies widely between industries, market conditions, and governing strategies. Machine learning hypotheses and regression models are also incorporated in this research to predict firm performance post-acquisition. This study intends to provide potential benefits and challenges with private equity ownership to policymakers, investors, and business leaders.
