Cybersecurity is one of the fastest evolving disciplines of applied sciences that has been in the limelight for risks, threats, attacks, innovations and automations in the last decade. There are mainly three categories of agents in this ecosystem. The first category of agents uses cyberspaces for work, education, and learning. The second agent is constantly working toward innovation and automation of cybersecurity. The third agent is the one who has malicious intension of getting unauthorized access and launching attacks. It is found that traditional practices of cybersecurity are proving to be insufficient to detect and mitigate cyberattacks. Application of Artificial Intelligence by second and third agent’s categories is relatively higher than the first agent category. The advancement and applications of AI by three categories of agents will be discussed.
