Rapid population growth increases the risk of food insecurity, contamination, and quality and has an extreme impact on food processing and supply chain management in food industry. Whether all these issues can be addressed by various techniques under artificial intelligence (AI) is a research problem. The objective of this paper is to explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in maximizing the use of resources, waste management and improve the overall operational effectiveness in the food processing industry. Notably, the data underscores a focus on food quality and safety as prime concerns, aligning with global trends reflecting consumer preferences for high standards in the food they consume. 203 samples are collected using Google Forms and analyzed using multiple regression to investigate the impact of AI in enhancing the future of the food processing industry. The results found that food safety, quality, improved waste management, supply chain management, production process, and innovation and personalization significantly impact the food processing industry’s future. This comprehensive analysis portrays a dynamic and evolving food market in India with a strong emphasis on quality and safety for future expansion.
