While mechanized farming offers efficiency and productivity gains, its drawbacks, such as the high upfront investment and equipment availability issues, present significant challenges for small-scale farmers. Additionally, the migration of rural populations to urban areas has led to machinery and labor shortages, impacting operational efficiency during peak seasons. Conservation agriculture practices not only improve soil health and water-use efficiency but also contribute to increased crop yields. By minimizing tillage and reducing fuel consumption, conservation agriculture aligns with sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices, promoting agricultural productivity, resource conservation, and environmental stewardship.
