In the previous chapter, I presented study designed to address the key question posed earlier in the book: whether the positive effects of planning time on L2 performance, typically measured through CALF dimensions (Complexity, Accuracy, Lexis, and Fluency), may extend and facilitate discourse competence standards in learner performance considering that discourse construction is considered the pinnacle of L2 proficiency and mastery.
