We introduce Networked JamSketch, a platform that enables multiple users to engage in solo trading during jam sessions. JamSketch is an improvisation system where users can create improvisations by drawing melodic outline; however, it traditionally limits this function to a single user. With Networked JamSketch, several people can use their laptops or tablet PCs to run the JamSketch Client and participate in a jam session. This system brings a fresh approach to jam sessions by allowing both instrumentalists and the audience to participate seamlessly.
