The macroscopic properties of the material are determined by its microstructure. The analysis and understanding of the microstructure of PBAT resin are benefit for improving its production methods, establishing reliable quality standards, and maintaining the stability of the quality of resin products. In this chapter the chemical structure and crystal structure of PBAT resin are discussed, and the current quality standards of PBAT resin and the corresponding testing methods are introduced briefly.
