Research on the Consistency of Spectral Characteristics Between Pulse Cluster Signal and Single Pulse Signal in Pulse Current Method

Transformer is the key equipment to realize voltage level conversion in power system. In recent years, more and more new energy power supply access equipment has increased the risk of instability in power grid. With the development of high voltage technology and on-line monitoring technology, it is possible to realize active protection of transformer before discharge defect develops into fault. The pulse current detection method is an important detection method for the internal operation of the transformer. In this paper, by analyzing the test results of the pulse current transformer in the discharge test of the 110 kV true transformer, the relationship between the single discharge pulse signal and the entire discharge pulse cluster in the primary discharge is explored, and the maximum pulse signal in the cluster is explained. The consistency of the frequency domain characteristics of the pulse cluster signal provides a possibility for simplifying the data processing of the transformer state detection.
