The selection of PWM frequency range and current ratio for iC MOSFET/Si IGBT Topology Hybrid Inverter lacks consideration of crucial indicators like operational lifespan in multi-objective optimization, which is detrimental to the industrial application and development of this topology. To ensure optimized performance metrics of SiC MOSFET /Si IGBT Topology Hybrid Inverter, this paper establishes models for losses, costs, and operational lifespan of SiC MOSFET /Si IGBT Topology Hybrid Inverter, and develops a multi-objective optimization function that considers operational lifespan. A multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied, and a flowchart for the multi-objective optimization algorithm is designed to determine the optimal PWM frequency range and current ratio. A 5kW experimental platform is constructed for comparative experiments and validation. The experimental results demonstrate that compared to All SiC MOSFET inverters, The SiC MOSFET /Si IGBT Topology Hybrid Inverter achieved a 17% cost reduction, and improved operational lifespan.
