A Novel Reluctance Machine with Skewed Magnetized Stator Permanent Magnet for Low-Speed High Torque Density Applications
摘要
This paper proposed a novel reluctance machine with skewed magnetized stator slot opening Permanent Magnet (PM). The key novelty is the structure with two skewed magnetized PMs with different magnetization directions are proposed and assigned at the stator slot openings. Compared with the traditional stator slot opening PM Vernier machine with consequent pole radial magnetized PMs, the proposed machine has higher torque production under the same size and current excitation. In this paper, firstly, the machine structure and working principle of the proposed machine is presented, including the magnetic flux path analysis and the airgap field harmonic analysis. Then, the reason why the proposed structure has higher torque performance than the traditional counterpart is discussed. Finally, to validate the adforementioned analysis, a comprehensive electromagnetic performance comparison between the proposed structure and the traditional structure is presented.
