This paper introduces a wide input range LLC resonant converter based on a three-switch bridge, which operates in three modes. The converter combines the concepts of switch reuse and virtual switch to facilitate easier Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) implementation of the switch, compared to existing schemes. It operates over a wide input voltage range with only three switching devices and one resonant cavity, thus enhancing power density and economic efficiency. This paper provides a brief analysis of the working principle of a converter and the ZVS conditions. Through experiments and Matlab simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed converter topology has been verified, demonstrating that the converter achieves zero voltage switching for MOSFETs throughout its entire operating range.
