According to The Contemporary Chinese Dictionary, the Chinese term “决策” can be interpreted as either “decision” or “decision-making” in English. The former refers to a strategy or method that has been made, while the latter refers to the process of making a strategy or method. In the broadest sense, all human behaviors, if conscious, should involve decision-making; thus, decision is widespread in various fields of human society, such as political, economic, and cultural fields. The science of studying decision is called as decision science.
