Indigenous Sky Guard: Empowering Remote Communities with IoT-Enabled Drone Surveillance
摘要
This new Indigenous Sky Guard system is intended to create the combined result of drone production along with face detection technology. This system has hence been developed mainly for distance management and real-time surveillance purposes. This system uses a live stream video from a camera mounted on a drone and the recognition mentioned here will occur at the controller that is present in the drone. Coordinates and other sensed parameters and the detection details are transmitted wirelessly to the specific ground station. It was specifically designed to scan for survivors from disaster affected areas and only the individual’s picture information has to be fed into the system. This will provide the ground control station coordinates and much information to the rescue team. The indigenous sky guard can also be used by the police forces for searches of the presence of a criminal in large areas, where a direct search for him will be impossible, and where the static camera cannot be used because of overcrowding. This idea is presented in the paper, and the implementation part of this work serves as a proof of this idea.
