Conception of Eco-Environmental Informatics and Its Historical Roots
摘要
Eco-Environmental Informatics refers to the methodological and knowledge systems used to support information acquisition, data pre-processing, model construction, spatial and temporal interpolations,scale-transformations, data fusion, model-data assimilation, model coupling and system simulations in studies connecting ecology, environmental science, geographical science and economics. Since the early 1850s, launches and growth of a number of international organizations and international programs, especially the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), have laid the groundworks of knowledges, data and models for the emergence of Eco-Environmental Informatics.
