Circular Economy of Building Materials Overview of Selected Issues
摘要
The modern world is facing the challenges of climate change. The construction sector has a significant share in generating the carbon footprint. The transition to a circular economy in construction may have a significant impact on its reduction. However, this will involve significant changes in the way buildings are designed, distributed, constructed, demolished and post-demolition materials are treated. Changes in supply chains, economic and environmental factors must be taken into account. The contemporary market of recycled materials will be discussed and what prospects it has ahead of it. Currently functioning solutions will be presented in accordance with the principle of reduction, reuse and recycling. An attempt will be made to outline possible paths for the development of the circular economy on a larger scale, taking into account the Polish and European Union markets. The study presents an analysis of some selected aspects related to circular economy management of building materials.
