In multi-family developments, appropriate proportions and the functional layout of the space between the buildings are important factors. Biologically active surface, rainwater retention and pro-ecological solutions are necessary for the proper functioning and meeting the social needs of its users. The aim of the study is to indicate optimal and modern solutions used in this type of architectural proposals. The result is an overview of methods and elements that create sustainable systems and structures of common spaces in multi-family buildings.
