The Impact of the Gap Between the Higher Education Market and Labour Market on Social Inequality
摘要
We dwelt on the problem of the gap between the higher education market and the labour market from the position of its impact on social inequality in countries of Central Asia. We elaborated on the theoretical essence of this gap, determine its types and specifics and offer directions to solve this problem. The research methodology is connected with the imperfection of the system of statistical processing of information and the discrepancy of educational knowledge and skills that are necessary for employment. We generalised the theoretical perception of the gap from the position of its impact on social inequality in countries of Central Asia. We characterised the types of such discrepancy and their specifics, determined the financial aspects of the gap and considered the inequality of access of citizens with different financial positions to education. As a result, an increase in the negative influence of the current differences on the level of human capital was outlined, and the key directions for solving these problems were proposed. The value of this work consists in the possibility to substantiate the negative character of disproportions between the labour market and higher education market from the position of their impact on social inequality in the region. We characterised the conditions of financial losses in the case of discrepancy between the qualification requirements of the office and educational skills and mentioned worse chances of people with lower financial capabilities from the position of avoiding the difference between education and the labour market.
