Maintenance of offshore wind farms presents entirely different challenges than onshore wind farms. This chapter introduces the O&M challenges of an offshore wind farm, which are high fault rates, poor accessibility, and high maintenance cost. Focusing on three main challenges, the key technologies of fault diagnosis of offshore wind power devices and O&M of an offshore wind farm are introduced. In the end, the technological frontiers in the near future are discussed.
